Los Angeles’ nightlife guru, Sam Nazarian of SBE Entertainment (Hyde Lounge, Prey, Privilege and Area), brings his sushi and robata bar concept, Katsuya to L.A. LIVE. Recently opened in Brentwood, this location will be the second expanded version of Katsuya which began in 1998 as a small, but wildly popular storefront sushi bar in Studio City. Designed by Phillipe Starke, the ultra-hip 7,600 square foot, ground floor space will be utilized as the main dining room and a cocktail lounge will share the area. The remaining space on the second floor footprint will be dedicated to a commissary style kitchen operated by Wolfgang Puck Catering which will provide food service for Club NOKIA and NOKIA Plaza.

Long Beach-based Yard House will open its 12th location, a 13,000 square foot restaurant and brew pub at L.A. LIVE. The popular casual dining operator offers a wide menu of American food, excellent service and over 100 different beers from around the world and will feature a large outdoor dining terrace.

New York-based Rosa Mexicano brings a fine dining concept of traditional and nouvelle Mexican food within a contemporary David Rockwell design. Known for their pomegranate margaritas, guacamole freshly prepared tableside, and indoor water wall, Rosa Mexicano currently operates five locations in the Northeast. In addition, a two level, 30,000 square foot ESPN Zone restaurant and sports bar will serve American grill food in an entertaining family environment with a viewing room and interactive games.

Los Angeles’ own culinary icon, Wolfgang Puck will bring an exciting new California cuisine concept of fresh seafood, salads and steaks to L.A. LIVE in a 7,500 square foot location. The space, centrally located on NOKIA Plaza, will also be used for private parties and special events.

Several quick service restaurants are planned for L.A. LIVE as well. Starbucks will bring its popular coffee house concept to an approximately 1,800 square foot space plus outdoor patio seating. A quick service restaurant will offer traditional deli sandwiches, salads and catering in a 2,800 square foot restaurant next door to New Zealand Natural Ice Cream, a 650 square foot premium ice cream shop whose parent company operates over 100 locations internationally.
